EARL-BISHOP HERVEY (1730-1803) Philanthropist, Ecumenist and probably a Humanist !
Frederick Hervey was the Bishop of Derry (1768-1803). In 1779 he became the 4th Earl of Bristol. He was a powerful proponent of religious equality, financially supporting his Roman Catholic and Presbyterian neighbours.
